i have been reading these groups for some time now, and am starting to
wonder if a lot of cars ecu`s are using mocrosoft windows,
it just seem strange on the amount of errors that some ecu`s seem to have.

i wonder if the main way to repair a comp error is to close all of the car
windows and restart the car.

You laugh... but BMW's iDrive is based around Windows, as are several of
the other similar systems...

As is the management system on many new Virgin Trains (and others) new
trains...

Yes drivers/traincrew do have to frequently reset the system

I assume you mean some management system software which runs under
windows. Because windows by itself is going to run sod all!!

So, to reboot, you really do have to exit via the front passenger door and
re-enter via the hatchback.....?
